Our organization is dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community among Rwandans in Calgary and sharing our culture and traditions with others.

Rwanda has a rich cultural heritage, including beautiful dances, renowned music, intricate artistry, and much more. We take pride in who we are and have many programs aimed at promoting our culture within our society and with the broader community.

Celebrating Cultural Heritage and Unity

The Rwandan Canadian Society of Calgary extends a sincere invitation for you to attend the 32nd Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

This annual gathering is dedicated to remembrance, unity, and our collective commitment to preventing genocide and discrimination in all forms.

The commemoration will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Ross Glen Hall, Mount Royal University, located at 4825 Mt Royal Gate SW, Calgary, AB T3E 6X4. The program will begin at 3:00 p.m. and conclude at 6:00 p.m.
